Our Story

Since 1883

Established in 1883 by James Joseph Lalor, J. J. Lalor Ltd. stands as one of Ireland’s oldest printing businesses. Our journey began in Dublin’s North Earl Street, and over the decades, we have evolved into a reputable name synonymous with quality, tradition, and heartfelt remembrance.

One of Ireland’s oldest printing businesses, J. J. Lalor Ltd. has seen the passage of time since its inception in 1883. Originally located in Dublin’s North Earl Street, the business passed through the hands of J. J. Lalor’s sons, Vincent and Larry Lalor, and daughter Katherine Ennis. In 1949, Katherine Ennis purchased the business from her brothers, marking a pivotal chapter in our family’s legacy.

Present Days

The reins then passed to the next generation, as Katherine’s son, James, took over the company, leading it to become a Limited Company in 1970. The following years brought growth and progress, with larger premises acquired at 60/61 Middle Abbey Street. Today, we are proud to call Unit 5, 117 Grange Drive, Baldoyle Industrial Estate, Dublin 13 D13 RK50 our home.

Under the continued guidance of Stephanie Ennis, generation number five, the family run business remains dedicated to producing keenly-priced print work of the highest calibre. While our roots are firmly anchored in tradition, we have adapted to the changing times, meeting the evolving needs of our community.
With a particular emphasis on the production of Memoriam Cards, Book Markers, and Acknowledgement Cards, J. J. Lalor Ltd. is more than a printing business; we are a bridge between past and present, weaving memories that last a lifetime.

Our Community

Our story extends beyond our products; it is woven into the fabric of our community. For generations, J. J. Lalor has been an integral part of people’s lives, sharing both joyous and somber moments. We understand the importance of commemorating life’s milestones, and it is our privilege to be a trusted companion on this journey.
